Corruption should be abolished

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

Indonesia is one of 58 countries in the world that civilize the corruption. Many peoples took the opportunity from them position to enrich them selves. This action was done, because of the weakness of the low that made by government in this country. According to Lopa (1998) “highlights the greed of those in positions of power, who are often already wealthy individuals, combined with a weak system of law enforcement where investigations are poorly carried out and few prosecutions are made”. The weakness of low that gives the opportunity for the corruptor to enrich the selves. So that can make the poverty.

How to solve this problem? I strongly believe that the corruption should be abolished. Now I would like to talk about what is the corruption? the next I wish to talk about the impact of corruption for the society and the last is the government rule to wipe out the corruption.

Firstly, what is the corruption? Corruption is the peoples who work in the government take the opportunity to enrich them selves or steal the country’s budget. For example, Gayus Tambunan. He works in the government as the organizer of country’s taxation. When he takes hold of the position, he has the opportunity to divert the tax that has been paying by the society. On the other hand, Klitgaard (1998:4) asserts that “almost everyone who lives and works in Indonesia goes along with corruption including foreign investors, aid donors, and international financial institutions”. From those assertion I can take the summarize that whoever can be the corruptor because of the weakness of the country’s law.

Secondly, the impact of corruption for the society, the poverty is attack the country because of the deviation of the country’s budget which can make the crime to defend them selves from the bad country’s condition. On the other hand, corruption can make the education become expensive. That make just for the rich family can get the education while the low among society can not get the education.

Finally, how to erase the corruption? In this sector the strong government rule is important to delete the corruption in this country. For instance, by make the new rule which threaten the life corruptor. So it rule make them afraid to corrupt the country’s budget. In addition, the government also needs to improve the strength of the country’s law especially in the rule that arrange about the corruption. The last, Alatas (1986:49–50) suggests that “the most important factor in combating corruption is the moral and intellectual stature of leaders”. According to Alatas suggestion the moral and intellectual is the first matter that should be change to every body that works in the government.

In conclusion, corruption is the bad culture, because it has some negative effects for all the society. So that, the government should be active to combat the corruption, one of them by improve the rule and change the moral and intellectual whoever takes hold of government.

Thank youDescription: Corruption should be abolished Rating: 4.5 Reviewer: seputarwisata.com - ItemReviewed: Corruption should be abolished
